On October 13, 2025, the Department of Economics and Management held a scientific and practical seminar titled "Introduction to Science: First Publications" as part of the activities of the student scientific circle. The event was dedicated to one of the most relevant topics for beginners in research – how to properly format and publish the results of their scientific work.

The seminar was opened by the Acting Head of the Department of Economics and Management, Olga V. Vlasova. In her opening speech, Olga Vladimirovna mentioned the key role of research activities in shaping a competent and competitive specialist. She noted that first publications are not only an important step in an academic career but also a real contribution to the development of economic science, as well as a powerful motivation tool for a student's personal and professional growth.

The substantive part of the seminar was delivered by Associate Professor Nadezhda S. Bushina. In her presentation, Nadezhda Sergeevna provided a detailed and structured overview of the entire journey from a scientific idea to a finished publication: topic selection and research relevance, the structure of a scientific article, formatting rules, choosing a journal or collection of scientific articles for publication, and the peer-review process.

Associate Professor Bushina N. S’ presentation was accompanied by practical examples, which made the complex material as accessible and understandable as possible for the audience.

In the final part of the seminar, an active discussion took place, during which students received comprehensive answers to their questions. The circle members discussed specific topics for their future research, opportunities for participation in conferences, and prospects for publication activity. This seminar not only provided students with the necessary theoretical knowledge but also motivated them for active scientific work, paving the way for their first scientific publications.
