On the 19th of March 2026 an engaging educational surgical session was successfully conducted at Kursk State Medical University as part of The Scientific and Educational Project “School of Surgery: From Mentor to Successor”, hosted at the university's Laboratory of Experimental Surgery and Oncology.

Guiding the session allocated for the Department of Traumatology and Orthopaedics was moderated by Associate Professor Rajkumar Densingh Samuel Raj, whose expertise turned every moment into a learning opportunity.

The procedure performed was "Open Reduction and Internal Fixation of diaphyseal fracture of Right Tibia with Osteosynthesis Plates and Screws", carried out by students: • Surgeon-Alexander Andreevich Ivashov (4th year, Medical faculty) • First assitant surgeon- Chai Chon Chin (6th year, IMI) • Second assistant surgeon - Priyanka Wahi (4th year, IMI) • Surgical nurse-Elizaveta Valerievna Andrianova ( 3rd year, Pediatric surgery).

Supporting the session were dedicated volunteers: Anastasia Sergeevna Sablina(2nd year student, Medical Faculty), Grigoriy Vadimovich Khmelevskoy (1st year student, Medical Faculty) and Ulyana Alexandrovna Yakovleva (1st year student, Medical Faculty), who contributed to the smooth coordination of the procedure.

This event forms part of a structured operative training program that fosters mentorship, collaboration, and hands-on learning between experienced surgeons and future medical professionals.
