ILUMINATE 2025 - "A National Conference on AI in Healthcare"; Kursk State Medical University Students Showcase Innovative AI Medical Research at an International Conference in Chennai, India

Chennai, India | Kursk, Russia | December 18–19, 2025

Kursk State Medical University (KSMU) made a strong international academic impact at ILLUMINATE 2025, an international hybrid conference conducted bringing together researchers, clinicians, and students to explore the rapidly evolving role of artificial intelligence in medicine .

During the conference, Kursk State Medical University's medical students delivered 24 live research paper presentations.

Their work reflected the expanding role of AI across multiple medical specialties and highlighted Kursk State Medical University's commitment to innovation, research excellence, and global academic collaboration .

The student presentations explored a wide spectrum of cutting-edge AI applications in medicine, ranging from diagnostics and predictive analytics to ethics, privacy, and future-ready healthcare systems.

Key thematic areas included:
Diagnostic Precision
Predictive and Preventive Analytics
Operational, Ethical, and Privacy Challenges
Advanced and Emerging AI Concepts in Medicine

The majority of the student-led research projects were conducted under the academic mentorship of Dr. Rajkumar Densingh Samuel Raj, who also participated in ILLUMINATE 2025 as a Guest Speaker .

As part of the scientific program, Dr. Rajkumar Densingh Samuel Raj delivered a guest lecture titled:
“Ethical Challenges in Implementing AI in Modern Healthcare.”

Through his dual role as mentor and speaker, he guided students in developing clinically relevant, ethically sound, and technologically advanced research, while also contributing to critical discussions on responsible AI adoption in medical education and clinical practice.
