STUDENTS OF THE INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL INSTITUTE LEARNED ABOUT ONE OF THE PHARMACOLOGY DEPARTMENT'S RESEARCH AREAS AS PART OF THE SCIENTIFIC PHARMACOLOGY COLLEGE

Third-year students of the International Medical Institute learned about the cardiotoxicity of anticancer drugs, using bevacizumab as an example, as part of the Pharmacology Department's student research club events dedicated to International Science Day. Cardiooncology is one of the research areas of the Pharmacology Department, jointly with the Research Institute of Experimental Medicine.

S.V. Khlyamov, an assistant professor of the Pharmacology Department, conducted a master class on non-invasive hemodynamic determination in Wistar rats. The students highly praised the event and showed keen interest. IMI students learned how to measure blood pressure in the tails of Wistar rats and how to administer drugs intragastrically to rats.

The IMI students' interest reflects the importance of the research being conducted and opens the possibility of conducting joint international scientific research.
