20 февраля в сквере у Гиппократа прошли веселые гуляния в честь начала Масленичной недели, поистине всенародного праздника. Мероприятие организовали первичная профорганизации обучающихся, студенческие объединения и сотрудники Центра творческого развития. Среди присутствующих – студенты всех факультетов, в том числе Международного медицинского института.

Масленица – не только веселый, но и вкусный праздник, поэтому в университетском сквере были установлены столы с традиционными русскими блюдами. Главное угощение – блины и ароматный чай.  Настроение создавали коллективы и солисты Центра творческого развития КГМУ. Веселые загадки, много полезной информации о масленице в славянской культуре, фольклорные игры и танцы, яркие костюмы, русские забавы: перетягивание каната, ручеек – не давали участникам скучать и мерзнуть в этот зимний день.

- Тысячелетняя история празднования масленицы имеет еще дохристианские корни. Целая неделя народных гуляний посвящена проводам зимы и встрече весны, – говорит проректор по воспитательной работе и связям с общественностью КГМУ А.А.Кузнецова. – Сегодня наши студенты, среди которых много первокурсников, узнали новые факты об этом празднике. Россия – это уникальная страна, где чтут многовековые традиции. Думаю, иностранным студентам было особенно интересно погрузиться в атмосферу русского праздника!

К слову, на прошлой неделе в Курск прибыло около тридцати студентов из Индии. Среди них – Сурави Радхика. Она поделилась своими впечатлениями:

- Несколько дней назад я впервые ступила на русскую землю и увидела снег, а сегодня принимаю участие в таком красивом празднике и кушаю русские блины. Благодарю университет за яркие впечатления!

KSMU STUDENTS CELEBRATED MASLENITSA

On February 20, on the square near Hippocrates, cheerful festivities were held in honor of the beginning of Maslenitsa Week, a truly national holiday. The event was organized by the primary professional organization of students, student associations and employees of the Center for Creative Development. Among those who were present were students of all faculties, including the International Medical Institute.

Maslenitsa is not only a fun, but also a delicious holiday, so tables with traditional Russian dishes were installed on the university square. The main treats were pancakes and fragrant tea.  The mood was created by collectives and soloists of the Center of Creative Development of KSMU. Funny riddles, a lot of useful information about Maslenitsa in Slavic culture, folklore games and dances, bright costumes, Russian games: tug of rope, the game called "Rucheiok" – did not let the participants get bored and freeze on this winter day.

- The millennial history of the celebration of Maslenitsa has pre-Christian roots. A whole week of festivities is devoted to the wires of winter and the meeting of spring, says Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Public Relations of KSMU A.A. Kuznetsova. – Today our students, among whom there are many freshmen, learned new facts about this holiday. Russia is a unique country where centuries-old traditions are honored. I think it was especially interesting for foreign students to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the Russian holiday!

By the way, last week about thirty students from India arrived in Kursk. Among them is Suravi Radhika. She shared her impressions:

- A few days ago, I first set foot on Russian soil and saw snow, and today I take part in such a beautiful holiday and eat Russian pancakes. Thank you to the University for the great impressions!
