The first meeting of the SNK of the Department of Endocrinology was held for students of the MMI faculty.
The topic of the meeting was “Endocrinology — important aspects of diagnosing and treating endocrine diseases.”
Endocrine disorders, such as diabetes and obesity, affect millions of people around the world, which creates a significant burden on healthcare systems. Timely detection of disorders and their correction make it possible to prevent serious complications and significantly improve the prognosis for patients. An important task remains the identification of endocrine disorders at the preclinical stage, when there are no obvious symptoms yet, as well as the development of measures to reduce the risks of disease development. Endocrine diseases are often interconnected with other pathologies (metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular diseases), so a multidisciplinary approach involving doctors of various specialties is increasingly being used in treatment.
